– Dozens of Blizzard developers who were working on an unnamed survival game that was in development for six years (and was praised internally for its quality gameplay) have been laid off following the game’s cancellation.
– Season 2 for “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III” and “Call of Duty: Warzone” will feature a collaboration with the popular post-apocalyptic TV show, “The Walking Dead”. So far, Rick Grimes has been confirmed to appear when the new season drops next Wednesday, 7 February. However, data-miners have apparently found references to Grimes’ love interest, Michonne, and a themed event centred around the couple.
– Per tweets on Twitter/X, “Destiny 2” director Joe Blackburn is leaving Bungie for a “new adventure outside the walls” of the gaming studio. As such, he will “pass the torch” of the game’s directorship to veteran employee, Tyson Green.
– According to recent leaks, Sega is developing a mobile game focused on raising virtual pets called “Chao”, which were originally introduced in “Sonic Adventure”.
– Popular gamer Imane “Pokimane” Anys is leaving Twitch, most likely to pursue other ventures, such as overseeing her talent management company and focusing on building up her other social media platforms.
